Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person wanted in connection with a theft.

On May 30, an unknown person entered the Keaau Shell gas station and used the victim’s stolen bank card to purchase items, according to police. The suspect’s image was captured on a surveillance video.

Police ask anyone with information about the theft or the person’s identity to call the police department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311.

Those who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
